Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand, is a city that never sleeps, offering a whirlwind of experiences in just our 24 hours here.

No visit to Bangkok is complete without paying homage to its iconic temples.

We started our day bright and early with a visit to the magnificent Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha. Next, we headed to Wat Pho, which is known for its giant reclining Buddha statue and traditional Thai massage school. Finally, we crossed the river on a small boat and wandered through the peaceful grounds of Watt Arun. After a morning filled with exploration, we had a big appetite for some pad thai.

One of the best ways to absorb Bangkok’s vibrant atmosphere is by strolling through its streets. We explored local food and flower markets, observed students running through the streets after school, and ended our night with a drink at the infamous Koh San Road.

Favorite Parts:

Jackie: Visiting the temples and eating Pad Thai.

Lincoln: Walking through the markets and (of course) Koh San road.
